O.K. I'll try this one . Is it possible that a 96 Seadoo GTX does not have an hour meter?

Re: Hour Meter Question 2

the info center has an hour meter built in ,it has a memory and if it were transplanted from one ski to another it retains it's memory so it would read the hours stored in it.It's not a reliable thing because someone could swap meters and get what ever that meter has stored rather than what the ski has, as for blanking out the time on the meter If someone knows the circuts and is familiar with electronics I would guess they can delete the function totally. Now the ski is like a car with a tampered odometer, it is suspect. My experience with info centers is that the display fail and become impossible to read, I have never seen one that blanked out the time in the info center, but perhaps someone with expertice in electronics can tell you more. I have a friend with a gtx that had a bad screen and when he purchased a used guage, he told me that it had like 18 hours on it and the ski had about 100 hours on it so that is how I know the guage tells the hours on the guage and not on the ski.
