Hot water out of the tell hole.

How hot should the water be when it comes out of the pee hole on a 92 200 XP. The water coming out of mine is pretty warm. Not near hot enough to burn but it is warm.<br />Another question. When standing at the back of the motor and feeling of the head on the left side of the motor it is not near as warm as the head on the right side of the motor. Should I be concerned about this.<br />Thanks in advance for any advice.

When was the last time you changed your thermostats out and the water pump. It sounds like the water pump is doing its job since water is coming out of the tell tale but the thermostats may be sticky. I would get a service manual if you don't allready have one and follow the steps to change out the thermostats, it is normal to change them every year or so depending on use. let us know what you come up with.

Water pump is new just installed last weekend. It has plenty of water pressure. I purchased this boat about a month ago so I really do not know how long it has been since the thermostats have been replaced.<br />This is running with the muffs hooked up. I have not had it on the water since I replaced the water pump.

One more thing. I think it has an alarm on it because when the key is turned on it does sound off but it has never went off while I was using the boat on the lake. I am not sure if I have a problem or not.

When you turn the key on the sound you hear is the warning horn it's testing the warning sys, so it should be working, I don't think you have a problem, running on muffs the water will be a little warmer than running it in the water. Hope this helps. By the way howdy i'm an okie too. :D

I have a 95 150 Ocean pro and i noticed the same thing the other day.I was going to do the same post.I was going to swap over the sending unit to see where the gage reads.It is on the cooler port side now.Charlie
