Just waiting for it to stop raining so I can work on my boat. I just read a previous post regarding an over heating engine. And "risers" were mentioned. I have a 4 cylinder volvo penta 230 with overhead cam. Do I need to check the risers? what are they? I am still focusing on the fresh water pump. I am also guessing that I should not lock the thermostat open as the heat exchanger is small and water just rushing by would not have time to dump its heat.<br />any input?<br />thanks!
