A few of you have probably seen my reference to a 14 foot boat carrying a 1990, 90 hp Force.
With full down trim and full throttle it immediately jumps onto plane and 45 mph. As I feed in up trim, RPMs rise to 5600 and MPH rises along with them to 55-56. When it first pops out, I get a little ventilation, but then the prop locks up and I can feel the acceleration in the seat of my pants. Satisfying and better than sex are the words that come to mind.----Well, maybe just as good as sex.
And this is without playing with engine height or hot props. I am using a stock Force 13 X21 stainless--no cup. With a little playing, I should be able to see 60. I did use a 25 pitch prop on it but it loads down the engine, RPMs drop and speed is about the same--with major torque and handling problems.
Looking at the photos, I now understand why I can not turn it at speed; there's just not enough boat in the water.
Can't wait to get my 140 on it. LOL
