Hose by the foot?

I need some 1 inch marine exhaust manifold water hose. Needed 18 inches (2 9 inch pieces). Boat place has this big roll, and $8.50 a foot. Only sold by the foot. So I get to pay for an extra 6 inches at $4.25 and throw it away...............

Go to a Parts House,+ Buy 18"s of 1" Heater Hose,...........<br /><br />It's the Same Thing........

I have spare pieces of heater hose, and some stiff 300 burst industrial hose. Its just that paranoia of a melted hose, and salt water spurted out and really doing damage. These are (350SBC) one piece Barr man's, and its the hose on top that the water runs through to go out and through the exhaust. Gets real hot on shutdown and heat transfer. It just the point of the small stuff going through the roof, and then making ya buy more than ya need. I didn't deal with the owner (just some young girl), and just let it slide. Its like me going into the local Harley dealer, and after 46 years of saddle time, have some zitface kid with metal jammed into her skin all over ask if I need help........ Gets worse everyday, or me just getting older everyday probably.
