My Nissan NS40C has two wires for hooking to a tach. Do I need a certain type of tach for it to work properly?
My Glastron has one built into the dash but I have not tried to hook it up yet. I want to be able to check my high RPM's against what the service manual quotes.

Thanks

Re: Hooking up a Tach

Tthe yellow and white leads hook up to the tach. But, the tach needs to be adapatable to a 4 pole electrical output. Try the different settings on the back of the tach until you get one that works. If none bring the tach into the right range you will need to buy a new one.
