Honda warranty

I purchased my BF15D from original owner this past spring. Does anyone have any experience regarding the 5 yr warranty. I gave the gentleman my money and left with motor. I know the serial number is stamped on motor and I am pretty sure it is 2-3 yrs old. Does anyone know if dealers will simply fix motor or is there hang ups with original/second owners and warranties. thanks

I'm a Honda dealer. The best thing to do is just to take the engine in under the original owners name and avoid the transfer process.

Thanks, I don't know original owners name though. I will just attempt with dealer tomorrow
