Honda Warranty Issue

Hey Guys - give me your opinion on this.

My Honda 130 has been an exceptional engine. It's in it's seventh season with about 800 hours on it. I took it in for some water in the lower unit under a Honda service bulletin (neutral safety switch seal). Sure enough that was the issue and it is fixed.

However, my technician is unable to get Honda to pony up, because the motor is out of warranty. Should I press the issue since it qualifies under their service bulletin? The variance is probably about $300.

Thanks for your advice,

Re: Honda Warranty Issue

Your engine is five years out of warranty. There is no chance at all of them covering it. The Honda DSM has a goodwill range of up to 12 months after a warranty has expired where he can bend the rules. After that, they will not budge.
