honda tach wires

can someone tell me what the wires on a honda tach are for.they are gray,black/yellow and black.I figure the black is ground ,what I need to know is which is for 12v and which is for the tach signal.Thanks Chris

The schematic I have shows the black tach wire goes to ground, the black/yellow supplies 12 volts via the ignition switch, and the gray wire goes to the ECM terminal labeled "TACHO" hence the gray wire looks like the signal wire.
