I was running my Honda BL100 full throttle Friday evening and the engine stalled. I pulled and pulled....
Then I lifted the lid off, the lightbulb went off in my head and I checked the primer bulb. Primed it, and it started right up. Needless to say I hi-tailed it back to the boat ramp. I did prime the bulb every 3-5 minutes and at one point I forgot and it stalled again.

What would cause this. I ran the fuel line below the seatof my jon-boat, but I find that hard to be the reason. It seems as if the carb is not sucking in fuel.

I am totally lost here.....

Make sure the gas can was vented too. If the vent was closed on the can, the vaccuum created as fuel is drawn will eventually overtake the fuel pumps ability to pull fuel, resulting in fuel starvation.

If the vent was open, then It could be that your fuel pump gave out. If it wont draw its own fuel from the tank, the fuel pump would be your starting point.

Nav

Check the Hose for leaks...pinholes can really hose you up. Re-tighten all clamps etc.

lee
