Re: Honda paint?

Crstliner, The wife and I were fishing the Mississippi at Lansing, IA. last weekend and I ran over a wing dam with my BF50. My stainless prop was fine but my skeg had some major scrapes on both sides. After little hesitation I decided I was not going to spend $25 for a can of Honda Oyster Grey paint! What I found was Dupli-Color High Performance Wheel Coating paint WP101 silver. After sanding and preping the surface I followed the directions on the can and gave it 2 coats. The metallic and color match is not close, it is perfect! You can not tell where the repaint starts and stops. For $4.79 a can it is worth a try. I purchased the paint at Blain's Farm Fleet. Good luck, Honda boy

The Dupli-color paint is for cars I wonder how long it well last in the water? or if it is a good idea to use. your outboard deserve better than that!!
