I have a 2000 BF50. I want to get a shop manual an the 4-stroke manual.The shop manuals i see listed under iboats covers 76-99 an the 4-stroke manual covers 88-98.Are there newer manuals out there or will the 2 manuals above cover every thing on my 2000 model? Thanks

Homeboy,<br />The 99 is the same as the 2000. I have the BF40 and the 99 manuals have been dead on everytime. Honda is very slow to change their designs so the 03's are probably the same as well. The Seloc and Clymer manuals cover 99.5% of everything you should need to keep your outboard running great.<br /><br />If you really want to get indepth, get the service manual from Honda. It will set you back a little bit, but it will be worth it when you decide you have to disassemble it simply to see how it works :) <br /><br />The BF50's a great little motor...with any luck you will never have to read beyond the basic maintenance section of the manual.<br /><br />Nav :cool:
