honda gear linkage

how do you seperate the gear linkage on ahonda 15 hp 4 stroke outboard?is it a left or right thread.mine appears to be ceased.i've applied heat and unceasing spray,to no avail.blowfly1967

problem solved,broke the gear linkage. thanks for allyour help.bye blowfly1967
