I have a 2007 Honda fb 15 on a 20ft Lund. The carb was replace in 2016. Didn't use after replacement until this year. Fuel consumption seems to be excessive. 3 hours into a 5hr fishing trip. trolling at 2.2-2.5, ran a 6-gallon tank dry, that's abt a gallon an hour. Previously, could troll for 2 - 1/2 day on 6 gallons. Checked with dealer that did work, no clue. No leaks, no excessive gas anywhere. I use a Pro-Troll for speed control and it is run between 2.5-3.5 settings. Probably 1/4-1/3 throttle.

My Honda 90 doesn't use that much as a rule!

Have you checked your oil? Is it way higher than it should be, or smelling like gas big time? That could be a ruptured diaphragm in the fuel pump.

If that seems OK, and there's no clear signs of fuel anywhere, everything I know would point at the carb. New carbs can gum up as quickly as an old one if put away full of fuel with no conditioner in it. That's the most frequent thing I run in to.

Oil Is at right level, no leaking fuel or smell of. Carb was drained at end of year. Talked to dealer, he said just keep track of consumption and see where it goes. It's got to be a carb issue, but even then that's a lot of gas. head scratcher???

Not much of a head scratcher here....

If you're using that much fuel (worth verifying?) there's an issue that needs to be dealt with.
