Honda Clymer manual - worth it?

Hi guys,

I know its a little early, but I'm thinking about getting aquainted with what needs to be done with my motor (BF130) in terms of maintenance and winterization. Is this manual worth the money?

My boat is on an island (Block Island, RI). Therefore, its very difficult to drop it off at the dealer and have them do any type of work. My father and I are "do-it-yourself" types and we would rather maintain the engine ourselves.

Any recommendations about maintenance or what to do?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Honda Clymer manual - worth it?

The important thing is to make sure the maintenance does get done when it needs to be done...whether that be yourself or a dealer.

I have one of the Clymer manuals and I like it. It covers most everything I would want and a lot more. I'm probably not ever going to rebuild my engine but it covers that too.

The way I think about it is that even if proper maintenance even saves having to buy a single part then the manual has paid for itself.

- bayman
