i bought a 1993 honda bf8 last year and it has been a great little trolling motor. i noticed rough idle as the weather has cooled off and i think it might be the thermostat is stuck open.
i use it in salt water, and there appears to be a lot of salt build up around the outside of the housing...
is it an easy enough task to replace the thermostat?
there appears to be about 10 bolts to remove.
i assume i should buy new gasket sets as well ?

any advice is welcome

thanks!
