I have a 1985 Honda 7.5 horse BF75FLA with CDI ignition. If I remove either plug, I can start easily. Both plugs in, no start. One plug must be REMOVED, not simply disconnected! I suspect a weak spark, but really don't know. GAPs are about .6 mm. Carb has been thoroughly cleaned. Fuel is new. Plugs are new. Choke works correctly. Kill switch works correctly. Any ideas on how to proceed? If I need new CDI, where can they be located (could not find on CDI or Honda sites). Thanks for all suggestions.

Re: Honda BF75FLA Starts on Either Cylinder but Not Both

Although nobody replied to my mysterious problem, I wanted to let everybody know the shop just called and said the carb was out of adjustment to the degree I was starving the engine for air (which is why it would start with one cylinder open). They adjusted the carb and it's purring like a kitten again.
