My 98 honda bf75 dogs at full throttle but runs smooth at all other speeds, I had a friend of mine squeeze the primer bulb (which was firm to begin with) while it was dogging and the rpm's picked back up to normal. i am under the impression that it is for sure a fuel problem. The motor has 2 fuel pumps and 4 carbs.
I checked the fuel flow at both fuel pumps and they are the same, they seem to be pumping slow and they surge, not sure if this normal? I removed the feed hose at the fuel filter, squeezed the primer bulb and the fuel flow was good.
This was the first time i ran the boat down to a 1/4 of a tank of fuel.
I am wondering if water could cause this kind of behavior of dogging at full throttle?
Thanks
