On the above thread "Honda looses power, drops cylinders, there was a suggestion that maybe a vent hose came off a carb. As a brand new owner of a 1999 BF50A Honda outboard, can someone send me a picture of the right side of the motor guts (if standing looking toward the bow of the boat) . With the cover off, I see two redish plastic hoses, 1 goes to a small hole in the engine bottom and the other hangs inside the engine. I don't know if this is OK or maybe other vent hoses are missing? I thought a digital picture would help me compare what is right? Thanks.

There is actually two hoses at that location right?
One hose is connected to the float bowl of the bottom carb and faces the intake manifold. The other is on the same carb and connects to a nipple of the carb body closer to the intake silencer housing.
It is also on the side of the carb that faces the engine.
A picture won't do very well since the nipple is better found with a mirror.
