Honda BF50 leaking fuel pump

I have a 2001 BF50--runs fine, but noticed a gas occasionally seeps from the layers of the fuel pump. It's not a lot, and it's not all the time. I wonder if simply tightening the 4 bolts & nuts will be sufficient (at least worth a try ?) , or do I need to get a rebuild kit, or just replace the pump. Any advice appreciated.

Tighten the bolts and see what happens. If it still leaks, pull it apart and make sure that the gaskets are the only problem before ordering a repair kit.

Being a 16 year oldie, if tightening 4 bolts doesn't stop the fuel leak, internal gaskets probably are already dried, hardened, does not sit well against fuel pump's mating surfaces. If so, order a repair kit.
