I am not paying $300 for battery cables. I was told I could make my own. I'm planning on using 4 gauge wife. I just need to know where to hook them up. I wasn't to put the positive on the bottom post of the starter selenoid. And then not sure where I want to go with the negative. Let me know if you need any ser. Numbers or better pics. Thanks

The marina probably isnt a Honda dealer and is having to pay to many middle men, either that or they are just trying to rip you off because suggested retail on the Battery Cable Harness assembly is $145 (can find it for even less online). The part number that i think it might be is 32410-ZZ5-000 (would need serial number to confirm) and for what you can find that part for online i would just buy it. It comes with all of the fittings and boots to properly secure it and you know its the right size/type wire and terminals.

If you make your own out of #4 wire you probably will have a really tough time fitting the grommet that also helps hold/protect the control cables and wiring harness.

The green connection is for the warning lights, most of the time it is a seperate harness. But you can buy a main engine wiring harness with those wires built in too.

Thanks, I just got the motor fired up and I'm leaking water from one of the tabs the are used to access the zinc in the engine block. The tabs are broken and now am having a impossible time finding replacements

I just replaced mine with 12' of arctic grade 6 gauge wire, crimped the ends with vice grips and filled them solder. The battery shop said 6 gauge would be fine to run that far and he was right its working great and fit into the grommet fine.
