I hit a rock with my BF25 honda, broke the bottom 1/3 of skeg off, and need to get it fixed prior to ice out. It would appear taking the lower unit off the motor would be easier than taking the whole motor off the pontoon. However, i've never done it before. What am I going to have to deal with after I take off the 4 bolts that hold the lower unit to the rest of the engine? Should I take the entire outboard off and bring it in for repair? The motor I believe is roughly a 1997-98 model year
