Hello,
This is a twin engine boat, port is counter roatation and where I have a problem.
Problem: when up on plane 3000+ RPM and going to neutral the lower case lets out all sort of noise, I assume its the Shifter Clutch section making the noise, however I don't know why. 1640 Hours on unit, no water in lower case oil, no metal chips either. I recently replaced throttle cable, I did adjust the slack in shifter cable which it needed anyway just because there was play and in hopes that might be it! Took about 4-5 turns on the adjustment cable end, cable moves fully to reverse and forward after adjustment. There is no grinding or any noise or problems under all rpms, just coming down from full power to neutral or clutch ahead. during slow maneuvering no problems, no shifting problems, and no noise! Just noise from higher rpm ..
Any ideas or experince with this sort of complaint would be helpful thanks.
