I've had this little 2 horse since 1999
when I tried starting it this year had absolutly nothing. tried for almost 40 minutes to start it. seemed like it wasn;t getting gas. I took the carb off disconnected the fuel line from the tank found the in tank filter and it looked ok. disassembled the carb. cleaned it with gasoline because thats all I had to clean it with. reassembled it and it started first pull.
however now it won't run above 1/2 throttle. it stalls. and it stutters alot below 1/2 throttle. I am not an engine expert but I am wondering if the mixture is off. Do you think when I reassembled the carb I somehow messed the settings? does the nut in the bottom of the bowl affect that?
Or do you think there is something wrong with the carb in general?
any help would be appreciated. I have never had an ounce of trouble with this engine, so unfortunatly. I have no idea how to work on it.
