Motor runs only with choke out at low speed or no choke at a higher speed then stall if I try to idle. Took the carb off, saw that it was in need of soaking and a good cleaning. Is there a carb rebuild kit for this carb.I have not found one. I did not remove the plugs to clean the idle passages as I am uncertain of replacement parts. The carburetor for this motor is relatively inexpensive to replace (170.00). I may go that route but of course would rather rebuild what I have.

Yes carb kits are available,... Check Dennis Kirk,.. the symptoms you're describing point directly to a clogged main jet,... Ive used a single strand of copper wire to clear main jet passages.

Found no carb parts on the site suggested, no outboard parts there. I will pull the carb off again and check the jets . After viewing the parts diagram I see that they are removeable. I will take them out for a good cleaning. If you know where on the site I might find the carb rebuild kit I'd appreciate the info. Thanks.

Soaked and cleaned passages,no new parts. Runs much better but dies upon accelleration. If I accellerate slowly it will come up to speed if I try to give it gas quickly it will die. What about the core plugs on this carb? They are not listed in any parts list. Seems they would need to be removed to do a proper cleaning. I will purchase a gasket kit for final assembly.

Cutting out on acceleration is typically a lean condition,.. not getting enough gas to keep up with the the engines reguires cfm,... check supply line, filter, float level.
