Hi folks, new to the site!

I have a 2004 Honda BF150A 4 stroke. Yesterday I had to replace a battery. I accidently hooked it up backwards, tried to start it, realized what happened, corrected the cables.

I put the boat in the water, and ter right up. The "buzzer" started going off after a few minutes of idling a the dock. The oil pressure light still was on Green, and the temperature light was not lit. The manual said that it could be the water in fuel separator. Took the boat out, and cleaned it. No water in the fuel.

Afterwards I checked all of the fuses and found that the 90 amp? fuse under the hood was blown, so i replaced that. That's the only fuse that I found that was blown.

I put the boat back in the water and it started fine. After few ( maybe 3 minutes) of idling, the buzzer started again, but this time the Red overheating light was on. The engine was "squirting" water so i knew that it was getting water. the water was luke warm at best, so I dont really believe that it was overheated. AFter about 30 seconds to one minute, the boat shut off.

The oil level is good and the oil is clean. I am looking for anything to check before i take it in......Any ideas?

Thanks!
