honda bf100 aly repair

i have a chunk missing out of side of engine,where the lugs for lying down on its side are.one of lugs missing,what could you repair this with fibre glass ,filler ?

How about JB weld? that'a as strong an epoxy as you can buy cheaply, and it can be filed and sanded....
