After two hours running, the motor instantly died and would spin over but not crank. I can pull one of the spade connectors off the #1 coil and it will crank but runs rough because of just two cylinders getting fire. I swapped the #1 and #2 coils and repeated the process. With one wire off the coil in the number one position, it will crank. If you remove a wire of another coil and leave coil #1 with both wires connected it will not crank up.
Is this an indication of a CDI problem. Not sure how to check this problem out further.
