When I put any kind of load on this motor, every 15-20 seconds (religiously) it "bumps" like I've hit something underwater. The motor starts and idles fine. It also goes in and out of gear fine. I checked the sheer pin (even replaced it with a spare) and everything looks tight.

Hi Titan<br />Sounds like this may be a worn shift dog. You might try adjusting the shift linkage a little. Follow the shift lever into the cowl. There you will find a pin with a wire keeper. Detatch this and turn the vertical shaft down a turn or two.
