Honda b75 flooding Problem.

I have a b75 & it seems to flood quite consistently. I may get it started on the first couple of pulls, but if it is any more than that I can forget about getting the motor started. I pull the plugs & they are quite wet with gas, sometimes blowing the plugs off will help, but usually I need to wait a few hours before it will make a attempt to start. Again this motor will flood quite easily. I assume the carb to be the problem, any suggestions?

Russ

Re: Honda b75 flooding Problem.

Try a search in this section for honda 7.5 and you'll find some information.

I would check for a good spark, the breaker points and the float needle. Valve clearence?

Are you using the choke? Do you have a mark on the tiller handle for starting position?

Try a pair of new spark plugs too.

The fact that the plugs are all wet doesn't have to be the carb flooding. If you pull the rope the air/fuel mix is sucked into the cylinders. If it aint got a spark the plugs are getting wet.

A good cleaning of the carb is a good thing to do. Do you have a manual?
