I have a problem with an old Honda 7.5, the tube that connects the exaust port on the head with the leg has rotted out on the portion where there is no water cooling. Parts for this engine are sparse these days and I have had to make gaskets for it before, its almost 30yrs old and I know I may be flogging a dead horse but It runs too good to just trash it, any ideas on where to find a new or used part.
thanks
Dave

Re: Honda B75 exaust pipe

i bought the parts and did the same job on my
1993 8 hp honda.
they are not cheap, the bronze exhaust tube was
almost 80 bucks.
gaskets are more resonable
you have to pull the head off to get to the tube
so will need a new head gasket as well.
you can buy the parts from most Honda dealers

doubt you would find them used

Re: Honda B75 exaust pipe

I already have the head gasket and assorted gaskets that were available but the tube is no longer available, apparently the design must have been changed in later years because there is no upgrade part #. the kicker is that internally it looks great and it runs fine.
By the way the Ser.# is B75-2015914.
I think I may have to try to get a new section welded in the tube (mine is stainless steel)but keeping the alignment so it still fits square in the leg will be hard.

Dave ,
I own a BF10 and scored a parts motor for just the lower unit....It has the head with that part you want in exc. shape!$50.00 is what I want for the part removed or I can throw in the head complete(it had water inside and is a parts donor)
I still run my 10 hp and have seen several of these start blowing exhaust into the motor area.
If you want it ,e-mail me!
Tim

Tim,
Thanks for the info but the welder did a great job of adding a new section of stainless to the pipe and it should be good for the life of the engine, cost: 1 case of beer!
Thanks for the help
Dave
