HONDA B75 4-STROKE OUTBOARD MOTOR

Does anyone know if the prop cap on this motor unscrews or pops off after the cotter pin is removed? I removed the cotter pin and tried to unscrew it, but it will not break loose. Any ideas???

Hi Mansellman<br />Yes the cap unscrews. I belive it has a bronse insert in it. Just get a big cresent wrench and a block of wood. Block the prop from turning and twist that puppie off. If it's really stuck cut it off and buy a new one.

Thanks Alcan,<br /><br />I got the prop cap off today. I had sprayed it with carb cleaner yesterday when I could not break it free. Today, it came off with no problem. I had already ordered a new cap just in case I destroyed the old one. Just a note, I now own the factory service manual for the Honda B75 4-stroke motor if anybody needs any specs. <br /><br />P.S- I also have a 1970 Sea King outboard motor, 7.5hp w/ the service manual that is free for the taking. It does run but needs some work. Its Free!!!

Wow, free, thats my favorite price. You must have a brother or a friend that needs a project. When you put your prop back on, be sure to use some anti corrsion greese. I like the stuff mercury sells, but any brand will do. Have fun.

hi could u tell me how to check the valve clearance (and what is the valve clearance) <br />and do the valve timing on a honda 75B (7.5hp).<br />thanks.
