Honda B100S

I recently got the above motor. Last time out it made loud "pinging" noise as I increased throttle. It is the 4th time I have had it out. The first time, it made the noise only at fullest throttle and the 2nd and 3rd times it didn't make any noise at all.<br /><br />Any ideas?<br /><br />The serial is B100S-1502886, does anyone know the year?

that's a 1983 ping- ?old gas?
