Hi I have a Honda B100L, not sure of the year mid 80's? Its Blue with a White Cowl. Just need some help on either sourcing an Owners manual, or help with the charging circuit, it has a red and a Green wire that come from the front Left (Next to the Gear selector), these trace back to a small finned box that looks like a regulator/rectifier, is it ok to have these wires connected Red + and Green - straight to the Battery, or do I need to put a regulator in the middle? The Battery is a house battery on the Yacht and is not connected back to the Motor in any other way.
Also to wash the motor down, is the intake for fresh water that small meshed inlet right above the prop, is there any way it can have a hose and some ear muffs connected to wash it out without using a drum? ( its a fairly heavy unit to lift on and off the bracket into the dinghy by myself, to bring ashore to wash out in the drum), only a matter of time before it ,I and anything in the dinghy end up in Davy Jones's locker!
Happy Sailing,
Matt
