Honda and Yammi 225's

Does anyone know of any web site that has any info on the new 225 4 strokes. My dealers here in town don't have any info, and although the mfgr web sites have some info, its not very much.<br /><br />Surely there's got to be some press hype somewhere???<br /><br />Nav

"Trailer Boats" magazine has just recently published very informative articles on both these new high horsepower fours... As far as a website?? I don't know of one...<br /><br />Walt

Ahoy, Nav! The Sept. issue of Boating has what it called a showdown. NOT. They tested a prototype Honda on one boat and a production Yammy on a different boat. Both look VERY impressive. Just under 600#, $16 to 18K. <br /><br />Just might seek out a used Outrage 21 so I can have one of those hosses.<br /><br />Red sky at night. . .<br />JB

Hey Nav...I'm home now to look into this further. Yep, Trailer Boats July 2001 issue has a great article on Yamaha's 225 and May 2001 issue had one on the Honda 225.<br /><br />I loaned out my May copy but here's some info on the Yamaha:<br /><br />225 hp/V-6/3.3 liters (205 cid)/25" shaft length/583 lbs./5000-6000 wot rpm range/2:1 gear ratio/45 amp alt/<br /><br />All this for a measly $17,440<br /><br />FYI<br /><br />Walt
