I have a pair of fuel injected130s on a ProLine. The port engine won't start. It has compression of 150,180,180,185. I checked for spark-None. I am a very experienced OB tech with very little experience on Hondas. I just don't know where to start troubleshooting, besides the kill switch. Is this a normally open or closed switch? If someone can direct me I can swap parts from the starboard engine to the port for diagnosis. I just am not familiar with the Honda ignition system.

Re: Honda '99 130 No Spark

I figured it out with the help of a cooperative local shop. There is a recall of the "main power relay" on some engines. A defective relay can shut your engine down, it might be a necessary spare on offshore boats. and it is fairly easy to replace. I replaced it and all is well. Hope this little bit of information kelps someone else.
