My Honda 90 HP starts instantly and runs well for about 10 minutes. Water discharges from the cooling indicator port on the back of the engine. After it is warm, it sputters, hesitates and stalls out. The overheat indicator light/buzzer has not indicated a problem. I have replaced the external and internal fuel filters, drained the water separator (no water), the fuel tank is vented properly, gasoline is clean and fresh. The check engine light/beeper came on once when the motor was at idle.
Can a motor overheat even though there is a stream of water coming from the port? Any suggestions? Does anyone know of a low cost trouble code scanner that will work on this motor?
