Honda 9.9hp year?

Recently purchased used Honda 9.9hp outboard. Have no idea what year it is, serial # BABL 1204001. Can anyone help?

Also, it has no motor cowling (engine cover)? Where can I find one of these for this engine? Is it still available?

1994 and that cover is readilly available but will come new with no decals.Check the boneyards.
