Honda 9.9hp BF9.9AM coming out of storage - Need to Make it Reliable

We use this motor to push a tin boat that we take on longer, multi lake trips (we can cross over dams/rivers/rapids between lakes using a series of rollers installed at each portage in our area). We need this motor to be as reliable as possible.

I was going to change the fuel filter and water pump impellor. Any other suggestions for paarts to change in an older outboard to ensure reliability?

You can clean fuel filter if it's a not a dispossible one, clean tank and lines, put fresh fuel, change plugs & tail oil, if it's a 2 stroker, clean carb, fuel pump.

Maybe replace the fuel pump diaphragm, and the fuel lines.
