Hi,
As a result of the excellent info on this forum, I bought a secondhand 1996 Honda 9.9 and 'de-knobbled' it back to (nearly) the 15hp. The throttle stop was no problem, and now I'm upgrading the jets. I read that you should change the '48s' to '52s', so I've been to the local agent and bought one, but I need a bit more clarification please. In the Clymer manual, there's only one jet shown, the main jet, a short screw with a hole in it, in the side of the emulsifier tube. The dealer has obtained a '52 jet assembly' which is a thin brass tube abot 2" long that fits inside the emulsifier tube.
Would I be right in thinking that I need this tube and also the short jet shown in the clymer manual ?
The dealer's computer diagram gave references like 92,94 & 98 for the short jet, not 48 or 52 ?
thanks for any help... (great site)
