Honda 9.9 flooding

Hello,

I have a 9.9 Honda 4 stroke that I use as a kicker on my sailboat.

This past weekend on the way in the motor stalled while in very low idle. I tried to start it and apparently I flooded it. I could not restart it for about 5 minutes. Are there any tricks that I may use if this happens again? The motor is an electric start.

If the plug is saturated there isn't much you can do.
In a simple flooded condition try opening the throttle as much as possible.You could also try disconnecting the fuel line.
