I've put a meter on the DC receptacle, and see less than a volt while the engine is running and in neutral. I replaced the fuse (5amp), and still do not see a charge.

Looking at the schematic, I see two blue wires coming off the flywheel, and go to the rectifier. Just wondering if there is a place I can check voltage to determine if my rectifier or something else has died. I'm assuming it would charge in neutral? I can't put it in gear (knock the flush attachment off with the prop spinning)..

If I can test voltage before the rectifier (AC), and right after it (DC), what voltages should I expect? I'm assuming 12vdc after the rectifier, but not sure what kind of VAC gets fed into it.

Thanks in advance,
JW

I've got the manual in front of me(genuine Honda)..with the black tester lead on the blue wire(s) and red test lead on red or green......the resistance between the red and either blue should be 1K-200K...between green and either blue should be 100-50K....and red to green resistance should be 500-100K(red to red test lead and green to black test lead).....the charge coil resistance should be 0.12-0.15
