Just bourght a 98 75 hp Honda with a bad powerhead (ran without oil - bearings damaged badly - only paid 850 UDS for it). Now I have a lot of questions:

1) Does anyone know where i may obtain a recon or used powerhead for this engine?

2) I understand that some parts are same as on Honda Civic - but the civic has a hardened crankshaft (= cannot be machined down to fit owersize bearings) is this the same on the OB version?

3)Where can I buy an original Workshopmanual on line?

Thanks in advance

Re: Honda 75 hp

To my knowledge no one is currently marketing rebuilds for this unit, probably because this is pretty durable and there just are not any cores. It might serve you well to check into a new replacement P.H. from Honda. Got one two years ago for a commercial user here in the northwest and found the price to be exceptionally resonable. Those cranks may well be interchagable but I doubt that they are coded the same which would lead to great dificulty getting the right bearings for case ,crank. rod combination
