Honda 7.5 stalling

I have an older honda 7.5. I just cleaned the carb out and got it running. My question is this! It runs and idles great but only when the choke is fully on. As soon as I turn off the choke the engine dies. Never had this problem before. Maybe the carb is still dirty? It is as if without the choke it doesn't get fuel. Any help would be great!!!

check for air leak in fuel line or carb. mounting gasket

did you adjust the float right
