Honda 5hp Leaking Oil

Noticed my oil level was down just a bit so added some then tilted the engine and oil was leaking from the shaft just above the lower end. Anyone had this happen and maybe a fix? Our Honda dealer won't get to it until fall with all the larger motors in his shop now<br /><br />THANKS!

I would like to help but I always heard Honda's never have a problem? Sounds like a gasket issue or a crack in the lower unit(have you hit anything lately?)

The oil is coming from the engine and not the lower end. Cannot see any signs of oil leaking but have not taken the motor apart yet. Oil from the engine appears (if this is possible) to be leaking down the shaft collecting just above where the lower end connects. The engine has not been run much at all since it has been on a sailboat.
