hello,
my bf50 makes a ticking sound directly under the large flywheel. in addition to the ticking sound there's a whirly sound that goes with it.
i've recently put a lower unit, adjusted the valves, changed the motor oil and replaced the sparkplugs.
the ticking sounds is NOT from the valves. when i removed the timing belt cover the sound is much louder. when the motor rpm goes up the ticking sounds goes up. i shook the flywheel hard and it doesn't move side to side so i don't think it's a worn bearing (if there is any there).
i've put on over 10 hours with this ticking sound and the motor runs perfectly...just a little unnerving. any suggestions on what it may be?
thanks in advance.
