honda 4-stroke 90 horse won't idle.

Need help. I HAVE A 2001 HONDA 90 HORSE 4-STROKE , EVERYTIME I START IT UP IT WON'T IDLE. IT ONLY HAS ABOUT 50 HOURS ON IT, DUE TO SICKNESS. START IT UP AND TURN CHOKE ON IT WILL RUN. TURN IT DOWN IT WILL STOP. HAVE CHANGED GAS, NEW FUEL FILTER,CHANGED PLUGS STILL NO GOOD.CHECKED EVERYTHING EVEN DRAINED CARBURORATER.STILL NO GOOD.ADDED CARB CLEANER AND GAS ADDITIVE.CAN'T GET INTO CARBS. IS THERE ANY THING ELSE IT COULD BE? IF NOT DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO TAKE THE PLASTIC COVER OFF? BOLTS HARD TO GET TO.THANKS, SHERWIN

Sounds like it has been sitting a lot, from your symptom sounds like to me you have some gummed up carbs. The'll need to be pulled, cleaned, & resync'ed...

guess what? cleaned all the carbs and resync'ed and it still won't idle. does anyone have a clue to what else it could be? desperate!

Is the fuel pump bulb stiff after a few pumps when priming the motor? Do you have gas leaking out anywhere? Air leaking into lines? Is your float set properly? Did you blow out all passages of your carb with compressed air? <br /><br />These are all things I would check.
