I was jumping the starter solenoid to check for spark on my recently purchased 2001 honda bf25a. I had spark on all 3 cylinders when I first checked it. Spark seemed weak but that was due to me using a manual starter trigger across both big terminals on the solenoid. I decided to put a screwdriver across both solenoid posts which spun the motor at the correct higher speed. I had an inline spark tester (one end to the plug wire end (which didn't fit correctly due to the threads on the end of the spark plug. The. Tester is made for normal spark plug tips. The other end of the tester was also a problem for the same reason) so I tried to hold it all together to make contact but wasn't doing a good job as the connection points were losing and making contact. I decided to just put the plug wire on a removed plug and hold it to ground. Now I have no spark on any cylinder. I checked the 2 15 amp fuses near the voltage regulator but they are good. I feel I may have damaged the computer (cdi box) ?? I know i was stupid for trying to test the way I did but it's too late now. HELP PLEASE
