Get a bunch of sand bags or lead and put in the motor well and then you can judge for yourself. I went with a 225 Honda on my SeaCraft23WA. It was built for twins, but I have a single and it did make it sit a little lower but no real problem for me after getting the boat adjusted to compensate for porpoising that was created. I had to go with a 4 blade Power Tech?Honda prop and raised the motor to the top holes. I really think the engine puts out more than the rated 225 hp. You want to make sure the Honda is mounted as high as you can so that you "do not" get water into the exhaust tubes, there was a lot of problems early on because of mounting the enignes too low on the transom.
