I have a Honda 225 4 stroke that starts fine when cold, runs perfect all day but if I shut it off and sit for more 15 minutes it will not restart until it sits for several hours. It sounds like it is flooded, and runs rough for a few seconds after it does start. I feel like it is a fuel problem and the engine is flooded, The manual shows a vapor separator and also a fuel cut soleniod in the system has anyone experianced this problem before and if so what was the cure!

Re: honda 225 no start warm

you should hook up a separate 6 gallon fuel tank and isolate the boat from the motor so you know if it's a motor problem or boat problem ...I checked Honda's dealer site and didn't see any service bulletins about that problem
